I heard some people saying that IT fair products uses some inferior hardware, and sell the products at a lower price to clear them off.

The hack is to go on the last day.
Better price if not more freebies.
The risk is they are out of stock.
The right way of purchasing is to
1. know what u already want
2. Understand the prices online and offline
3. Decides on whether the freebies is More worth it or negotiating a lower price is better.
Old stock will be a better word vs inferior stock.
Dun let the freebies blind u ah.

Mm if the retailers at such shows offer inferior hardware, there'll be a lot of complains all over. Have worked in multiple shows as a promoter for Epson a lifetime ago, so I will always try to bargain for freebies or discounts. For example, laptops. The printed price on the brochure is the same for every retailer offering the same brand and model. But every retailer (or even a different sales person at the same retail booth) may offer a different price for the model you are eyeing. What I typically do is to get a best price I can and walk around asking if a lower price or more freebies can be given. Take down the name of the person you speak to so if you have decided on the price you are happy with, can go back to him/her. It will be likely that you will be remembered and it makes the purchase more smooth. For laptops, look to buy on day 3 or 4, and do ask if demo sets are available. These typically go for lower prices and are still new since they are only opened to be used as demos during the show period.

I recently went to the COMEX it show, and Apple products were going for 5% off! Plus some freebies like mouse. Not much freebies from apple if you get the 5% but then those are not really needed anyway! The 5% is good if you are getting more expensive stuff.

Yes. Provided one is willing to negotiate or bargain. Otherwise no difference. ...

Prices are usually not lower but the credit card perks + freebies sweeten the deal.
