Most group insurance provided by companies have claim limits imposed. Do check with your HR how much you are covered until. You stand to benefit more if your position in the company is higher.

Your company's insurance is also not portable, so switching between companies or leaving the company when a claim arises may be challengkng.

One suggestion would be to work out how much you need, less off your company's coverage and cover the difference.

Getting your personal H&S policy is also recommended as the limits under the company may be insufficient. If a claim happens during the course of your employment, you May face exclusions on coverage in your new company or if you intend to get a personal hospitalisation policy later on.

You should still purchase your own insurance because company group insurance is only valid while you are under their employment.
