Hey Anon!
There is no need to pay tax if you're on a traineeship!
As there is no employer-employee relationship, there are some important points to note:
Host companies are not obliged to offer employee benefits. However, benefits can be offered on a discretionary goodwill basis.
CPF contributions will not be given by the host companies.
You are not required to pay any tax on the trainee allowance.
