Do I need to budget or track my expenses if I don't spend much?

I read articles on budgeting, but they cater more to those who spend a lot. I can record my expenses, but don't know what to do w the info?

I used the Seedly app to track for some days, but then I forget or it gets meaningless because mostly mundane expenses.
Expenses

  • $3 train ride, $4 lunch when work in office
  • Cook simply when I am wfh
  • Have clothes, shoes so don't buy
  • Don't go out most of the time except for essentials or when friend asks
  • Large expenses are insurance premiums and Fitness Training (I have some physical issues so prefer Personal Trainer)

Omg yes manually keying in your expenses one by one is so annoying… but i found this app called Planner Bee that lets you sync your bank accounts directly with the app to keep track of all your expenses, and honestly it’s a game changer :o they even have a budgeting function to set budgets for each category (dining, transport, shopping, etc) as well, so it’s super useful for budgeting too!

If you're lazy to track expenses, have low expenses, and are confident that your expenses don't fluctuate much, consider transferring a sum of money for expenses into a separate account monthly and just use that for spending.

That way, you don't need to track. Use whatever you need to and any left over at the end of the month is bonus.

Also, if you don't spend much, maybe save your bandwidth for other more important things like enjoying life, or finding out how to increase your income so that you can enjoy life better.

Hey Anon,

That's a very good point! Personally, I've kind of been mindlessly tracking my expenses ...
