Do I have enough to retire?
Most financial planner seen only able to sell me products but they can't help me when I has for planning to cater early retirement.
Once I decide to leave my job, it is unlikely I will ever get back to such roles again. Hope to find out if anyone could provide professional advice on my readiness to retire. What is the most cost effective way to find out if i have enough to retire? (Some fee based advisor are too expensive.)

Hi OP, only you'll b able to tell how much u need to retire (based on your lifestyle, expenses etc.) this retirement calculator is a great start that lets you calculate how much you'd need to retire + how you can achieve that sum :)

Account for inflation based on your current expenses and estimate it to last for 25-30 years? Depends on when u retire

A lot of wealth planner always said you need a certain "x" amount after you retired. However, if you can able to devise a portfolio of assets which generate a consistent flow of passive incomes which able to pay for your lifestyle (expenses) , you should be able to retire too.

Find out how much expenses you need, multiply by 12 months and then multiply if by 25.

Im also in the same situation as you. i did some calculations myself but not confident (due to uncertainities in life). I'm not sure about others, but my financial planner gave me an estimate on how much I need for retirement and i feel it is way higher than what i estimated (but again, not sure if my estimates is correct in the first place).
