Do girls have a head start in their career and financial independence since they are not required to serve NS?

It seems weird when they are already working while we are studying or just starting to work?

Depends how you look at it and your perspective on it.

For me, I hate that I have to do NS but I also am grateful for the opportunities it has given me.

It has made me more conscious of my financial health. While earning such a small allowance, it forces me to think of ways to cut my spending and save more. It also made me think of ways how to create other sources of income (currently is just the stock market hahaha). These things I feel if I didnā€™t go through NS I wouldnā€™t have explored and researched on it.

But of course if given the chance to skip NS, I would do it hahaha. But since cannot, bobian we serve and make full use of it. Donā€™t think to much of ā€œwhat if never serveā€. If you canā€™t change something, donā€™t stress over it. Do what you can control.

Head start in their career, most likely but men still have a higher probability of having higher starting salaries and being promoted. So after afew years it will definetly even out.

Financial independence, definitely not. This depends more on lifestyle and discipline. I'd argue that NS gives you a slight head start toward this cause you don't really have to spend your allowance while still getting free food. So if you stay in camp all the time, you'd be saving $400-700 per month, that's what most people can save when they start working.

Hhmm.... If they splurge on skincare and cosmetic products, branded outfits and bags.... happy hours with friends....

2 years of income won't make much difference. Also, some employers pay male employees more. There's no need to overthink on this.

Anyone who said no will be lying , NS is 2 years of productive years gone , not only career have a h...
