Credibility of KraneShares ETFs?

Can KraneShares ETFs be credible in the long run compared to competitors with much larger AUMs?

Hi.

I own KWEB and KURE.

The company is very solid and trustworthy in my opinion.

They were among the first to develop China sector ETFs and China is their specialty now.

The top 8 of their over 20 ETFs has AUM (assets under management) of over 100 million USD, a number that is cited as essential for longterm survival.

The average fee is 0.65% annually which is O.K. and common for sector ETFs.

Since they are a U.S. domiciled entity (though majority owned by chinese China International Capital Corporation) they cannot include some stocks of given indices currently blacklisted by the U.S. government, f ex SMIC for ETF KSTR. Whether this is a disadvantage or even advantage depends on the development of these particular stocks, time will tell. So, deviation from non U.S. domiciled ETFs and their indices can be expected.

They have an interesting daily blog newsletter:

conclusion:

excellent company

I'm not sure what you are referring to as "credible". In the sense of fraud - no. However, the company as you mentioned has a lesser AUM than other larger players and is hence likely to charge more for fees. So you may want to check if there are larger players offering similar products that you are looking for.
