Our government encourage more seniors to continue working after the standard retirement age. But the Employer CPF contribution rate for age 65 to 70 years has decreased drastically by 3.5% from 12.5% to 9.0% once they reached age 65. The Employer CPF contribute rate should be 12.5% from age group 60 to 70 years. Our government should review and adjust the CPF contribution rate immediately.

It simply makes older workers cheaper to employ—it's essentially a state-backed 'discount' for companies.
It exposes a harsh reality: businesses often view hiring seniors as a cost burden rather than an investment in experience and value.
