Hi. I am a first time car owner and experience coe expiring soon. have some questions. my car coe is expiring in Feb 2026. I do not intend to renew and will scrap it. does it make more sense to drive till expiry or sell it away. if my car suddenly breakdown today, do I have the option to sell it straight away or I need to get it repair first

Hey, thanks for your question, sounds like you’re thinking ahead, which is great.
If your COE’s expiring in Feb 2026 and you don’t plan to renew, driving it till expiry makes sense if the car’s in good shape. But if it’s still in decent condition now, selling earlier might fetch a better price.
If it breaks down today, you can still sell it. Some dealers or scrapyards may take it as-is, though the offer might be lower. It really depends on the condition and who you’re selling to.
