These days I spend less on decorations and clothes, more on food and family meals

For me it’s mainly ang bao for parents and relatives, which usually takes up the biggest portion. Then there are visiting expenses like snacks, drinks, bak kwa and pineapple tarts, plus reunion dinner and a few family meals during the period. Sometimes there’s also spending on clothes or hair before CNY
