"Clueless" meaning manager has no technical experience in the work the team covers and not able to provide any form of guidance in functional work... no idea why manager was placed there in the first place...
โ
anyway, i am currently serving notice... manager used to be hands-off with my core work and now breathing down my neck to handover everything.. i have only been in the role for less than 6 months and manager acts like i have been here for years.... the backdrop is, my predecessor is still in the same team and he knows way more than me.. i have already handed over most of the work to the relevant persons.
โ
can u all suggest some ways that i can manage this ridiculous manager of mine pls.... how can i tell the manager respectfully that i have completed the handover and the predecessor knows more than me.... and for the manager to let me go on leave too so i can leave this horrendous place......

Sympathise with you but on the positive note you're leaving already so heck it!! Since your predecessor is more knowledgable, i would tell my boss that the most informed person would be XXX. Whatever you do, always have a backup plan and black and white to cover your ass.
Clear your leave so that you leave the trashy coy earlier. Gd luck!
