I saw that you can get 2% cashback on your Cashback+ if you sign up for Citi Plus account. This makes it even more enticing than the AMEX cards giving 1.5% and 1.7%(UOB). Im thinking of getting it, any thoughts?

As Sam mentioned, there are exclusions for Citi Cashback+, so it's not as fuss-free as UOB Absolute.

Even after the GrabPay nerf, it's possible to get 2% or higher cashback with UOB Absolute + GrabPay (on F&B or Grab ecosystem transactions), so the upside of Citi Cashback+ is still fairly low IMO.

Finally, even if you compare 2% vs 1.7%, the differential cashback you earn is probably insignificant unless you spend thousands per month. (For spending of $500, 0.3% = $1.50, spending of $5000, 0.3% = $15) But at that point, you're better off using multiple high cashback cards anyway (UOB EVOL, OCBC FRANK, etc).

Yes I'm also thinking of singing up with Citi but only because they're giving out free iPad for new customers.
