Can we buy a private property after the MOP or do we have to sell off our BTO?

Just selected flat today and is wondering if can we buy a private property after the MOP? Or do we have to sell off our bto?

Yes you may, but you will incurr an ABSD on the 2nd property you own.

Believe that you may apply for the ABSD to be rebated to you, if you sell off the HDB flat within 6 months after the completion of your private property purchase!

If you own a private property when you are 22 yrs old. Can you still buy BTO fm HDB n sell off yr private property?

If getting a BTO is kind of still being a "tenant" (given the 99 year lease), do you recommend, we sell the BTO after the MOP period of 5 years and then buy a Free hold property?

If the govt really wants to cool the private property market, why not put a stop to allowing CPF for private property? This will stop alot of ppl selling HDB for millions then buying private property
