Depending how much money is invested.
Short answer is no you cant get rich in the short term.
But you can get rich in the long term.
Its a slow game, 7% returns year over year is not much to be honest.
From what I studied , business and property is like the burning flame, Stock investing is just like the karousene , just to keep the fire burning.
I dont know if you understood my analagy.
My english not that good one lol.
But yeah, rich, of course business or properties or create a new source of income. Stock investing is just to beat inflation. Unless you are a day trader, potentially gain 100% within a month or so.

There are many examples of people retiring early from their index funds. But after a while, it still comes down to your personal preference.
Some people would want precious metals, bonds, properties, reits in their portfolio once they have reached a certain amount of money (their focus would shift from accumulating wealth to preserving them).
For me, I believe in the long-term returns that index funds will bring. So I'm doing that now. 🙂
