Hi all, my parents bought Great Eastern policies for the whole family via an agent ever since i was born. As i'm about to take over the insurance policies over from them, wanted to ask if it's reasonable and right of me to ask the agent to create a document with all the policies my family had with her? Thinking of asking the agent to include the sum assured, annual premium to be paid for each policy. Are there other things that i should ask her to include as well? Appreciate your advice.

Hi there,
You defintely should ask him to do so, as he is your current servicing agent. However this crucial part that is important to the consumer, is often neglected.
My previous family agent, sold us policies, but none of them bothered to collate all the information to provide a comprehensive view. I do this for all my clients, regardless of whether they hold policies from other insurers.
I expect this much for myself, and I believe everyone should receive the same standard of service.
It is definitely within reason as a consumer to request for a detailed breakdown of your policies, as financial planning's primary focus is to manage your risk, and its important to know the related costs as well.
