I got mine before the TDSR was implemented so interest rates and rules have changed.
from a bank where my salary was credited into. they already have personal details and salary history. walk into a bank branch and apply on the spot. got the amount the next day credited into bank account. this is usually short term for 1 year.
from a bank where i have credit card with. not credit card advance cash or credit card loan. those have ridiculously high interests. instead i apply online to convert unsued credit limit into credit facility. the money is then credited into my savings account. this can stretch up to 5 years term loan. but doing this, will lower your credit card limit. so better not to use if you frequently charge expenses into credit card.
both are relatively easy to apply but at high interests and there is a minimum loan amount (any amount less than $5000 i think they will not entertain) there is also penalty if miss a monthly repayment, or if i want to make early repayment. if you have a bank RM, you can speak to them whether any promos for loans with lower interests rates.
be careful and think again if you really need the loan. hope this helps.
