Hi all,
I've been juggling a few miles cards lately (UOB Lady's, Citi Rewards, HSBC Revolution, DBS WWMC) and realised I'm actually pretty bad at keeping track of them.
The biggest problem isn't even remembering which card gives what. It's thinking you're still within the cap when you're not.
For example I was using HSBC Revolution for contactless spending and only realised when my statement came that I'd already exceeded the cap quite early in the month. Thought I was getting 4 mpd the whole time. Turns out I wasn't.
The other thing is using the wrong card. Sometimes I just tap whatever card is in front of me and only later realise another card would've earned a lot more.
I tried a spreadsheet before. Worked for a while but eventually I stopped updating it. I also looked at some of the apps people recommend but I couldn't imagine manually entering every transaction forever.
Anyway I got annoyed enough that I built something for myself.
The basic idea is that whenever a bank transaction alert email comes in, it gets logged automatically and updates a dashboard.

The stuff I personally find useful:
For anyone wondering, it doesn't connect to internet banking or anything like that. It only reads the transaction alert emails that you choose to forward. No full card numbers either.
It's still pretty early and there are definitely things I've missed.
Currently I've tested things like UOB Lady's, UOB PRVI, Citi Rewards, Citi PM, HSBC Revolution, DBS WWMC, OCBC 90N and Amex KrisFlyer cards.
If anyone wants to try it, here's the link:
Mainly looking for feedback from people with multiple cards because that's where things start getting messy.
A few questions:
Curious how everyone else keeps track of caps. Maybe I'm the only one who keeps finding out I've exceeded them after the fact.
