Best POS System for retail stores?

I’ve been wondering about the best POS system for retail stores. Every retailer seems to use something different, like Square, Qashier, EPOS, WarelyPOS and the priorities aren’t always the same. Some value speed at the checkout, some need tighter inventory control, and others care more about reporting or loyalty features. It feels like what works well for a boutique might not work for a convenience store or a brand with multiple outlets. For those who’ve tried different POS systems, what actually made a system “good” for your store? Was it ease of use, accuracy, fewer errors, or something else entirely?
