I'm using a Student Credit Card - DBS Live Fresh for my daily expenses (transport, food, spendings etc) i realised the only benefits is the 5% cashback. like to change to a proper credit card to use for the same purpose (daily expenses and shopping etc) and at the same time gain benefits

The biggest factors when considering a credit card are its rewards rates and bonus categories, so start from there.
If you're talking about benefits beyond the rewards like airport lounge access or exclusive promotions, it really varies from card to card or bank to bank. Cards have different tiers. From lowest to highest - Visa Platinum, Visa Signature, Visa Infinite, and MasterCard, MasterCard World, MasterCard World Elite. Higher tiers of cards usually come with better rewards offered by Visa or MasterCard, or in collaboration with the partner bank.
Some banks also have their own rewards/benefits system like AMEX rewards, UOB TMRW Rewards. As long as you have any credit card with the bank, you can take advantage of them.
