Revolut is good if you need to withdraw local currency for emergency cash.

Revolut Card ATM Withdrawals (international only)

Withdrawals at international ATMs (ATMs outside of Singapore) at up to S$350 per rolling month are free. Anything over the above limits is charged at 2% of the value of the amount withdrawn.
Please note that the ATM provider may still charge you a fee for making an ATM withdrawal.
ATM withdrawals are not permitted in Singapore.

A lot of places in Taiwan are still cash mode (eg night markets).

May make less of a critical difference than you imagine, especially if you don't spend much in the first place.
