Before you decide to do something different and putting pay aside, do a self-check to determine what motivated you to join the media industry at the beginning and whether you still have the same motivation burning within you for media work. If you still hold the same motivation, then it could probably be that your company just isn't paying well and maybe it's time for you to explore greener pastures elsewhere. Most of us pursue professions that align closley with our career Values, Interests, Personality and Skills (VIPS) and when we do so, half the battle is won where the other half is about working hard to receive the recognition we deserve. If doing media no longer aligns with your VIPS, then you would have to do a self-discovery via career assessment instruments to determine your VIPS and thereafter, suggested roles will be offered for consideration based on your VIPS where you can then decide on your next steps on how to go about working towards the profession that you desire.
