Courses that teach you instead of the teachers themsevles earning their trade profits... hmmm

Let's not dwell on the course fee first. Perhaps ask whether you have time, discipline and courage to religiously follow through the lessons and apply the strategies taught. Many did not earn back their course fee because of the above reason(s) with some paying more school fees when dived in.
If have all three factors and a small sum of spare cash (can afford to lose in the trades), by all means, find a credible academy to expedite the learning process. Check back if in doubt.

You said "they seem to have knowledge".. I think better don't take up the course, as you also do not have confidence in them :) For options trading, there are many free and easy to understand materials available, if you are beginner.

For me, options trading is dangerous. I learn stock investing first, and I got my knowledge from SGX website, free seminars from the trading houses, seedly blogs, etc etc.
