If he is a long-term investor whom had alr done his/her homework prior to buying the stocks, then there's no need for him/her to keep track of all the news aka noises on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.

A quarterly basis would adequately suffice

Do you believe that in order to survive as a long-term investor, you will first have to survive short-term, which could possibly mean having to liquidate your portfolio when market crashes?

SIA share price soared 14% after news that Pfizer is a step closer to getting the COVID-19 vaccine. But for a long-term investor, is SIA worth buying?

I currently have a 80/20 portfolio with Endowus for long-term investing. Should I also open a 100% bond portfolio if I need the funds in the short term (3.5 - 4 years)?
