ETFs. I would propose you build up a satelite portfolio with broad-based ETFs tracking either the S&P500 index or any other world index. Keep on learning along the way & when you're confident and comfortable, you can try out stock picking or not it is perfectly fine to stick with ETFs. Theres still lots to explore (ie. Thematic, Sector-specific ETFs...)

For REITs, maybe youll want to keep that on hold till your ~30s. Focus on capital gain when you're younger and when time is in your favour (power of compounding), dividends can wait.
