If i have recurring expenses of about 8-10k Sgd every month, are there any cards / accounts that i will be able to leverage to maximise cashback/miles?
Basically i wish to learn if the community have insider info on how to channel spending into benefits.

Hi Anon,
It is definitely possible for you to be earning rewards from your spending with credit cards! As for which cards will be the best for you, here are some things to consider first:
do you prefer to collect cashback, miles, or rewards points? Cashback is usually the most straightforward one to collect. Rewards points are flexible in the sense that they can be converted to miles or dining/mall vouchers.
among your $8k~$10k monthly spending, what is the rough breakdown of your expenses by category? Ie dining, shopping, groceries, etc. This will give you an idea of which cards to get because if they give a high rewards rate, they tend to be limited in terms of spending categories and/or spending methods (ie contactless/online preferred).
Once you have the answers to these 2 points, it should be clearer which cards are better for you when researching the available credit cards. Usually, it's better to have a few cards to cover different areas of your spending vs having only 1 card to use for all your spending.
Hope this helps & happy cny!
