Beginner here and have been slowly learning the ropes. I read news that Singapore attracts MNCs to set up businesses due to stable political environment. A lot of billionaires also buy lavish properties here.
Is there any likelihood that due to volatility of world markets, overseas investors rush into buying Singapore stocks?

Singapore is an attractive place to set up biz due to low taxes, stable environment , responsive/biz friendly gov, excellent infrastrature but that does not made it an attractive place for companies to list their companies here in SGX. The domestic size of SG made trading liquidity of SGX stocks limited and hard to get attractive valuations.
There are hardly any first-class, wide economic moats companies on the SGX that can go against the grain to continue to churn out profits consistently esp in global difficult times. There are better places to put their monies.

Hi Tong Soon,
I should think so. If I remember correctly, we are one of the biggest in A/P by capitalization for REITs, lagging only behind Japan and Australia. Our 3 local banks are also decent for dividend play. For income investors, this is a plus in terms of the number of choices they have. So I would say that overseas investors would definitely look towards Singapore if they income oriented. They probably have been already, but I wouldn't go as far as to say that they would rush in due to the current market situation.
