Are ETFs really diversified enough? Would just buying into one ETF like the S&P 500 or VOO be sufficient?

ETFs are popular because they tend to be diversified or track an index, but are they really sufficiently diversified?

Not all ETFs are diversified in every aspect e.g. geography, sector, etc. but they are still more diversified than individual stocks.

You may want to complement your S&P500 positions with another ETF that can reduce the emphasis on the US market (e.g. emerging markets ETF).
