Of course, depending on how old your kids are, you should request for baby bassinets at the front. I was on SQ and found that the SQ girls were quite good with bringing toys for the kid.

Also, I find that kids with cuddly toys tend to not be as noisy.

I would also try to tire them out pre-flight, so that they won't be hyperactive on the flight.

Always pack their luggages first. The best way to do this is to have a comprehensive packing list. This eliminates last minute panics which happen too many times!

Hand carry is vital to the kids' needs. Ensure that you have pack sufficient clothing, amenities, and their favourite toys.

Timing is key. Book flights with them in mind. Typically, I prefer to fly at the time when the kids are about to sleep. Accordingly, they are often too tired to do anything upon boarding the flight. This gives me some breathing time.

Kind gestures. Consider writing a thank you / apology note with some sweets - give them toe the surrounding passengers in case the kids create trouble or becomes too noisy on the flight. This reduces the stress from annoyed passengers around you.
