Anyone got any facial recommendations for both men and female? Looking for one with decent pricing and quality. Likely to go for once a month on a regular basis?

Went online to search but there are too many and most of them do not reveal their price. Understand most likely they will sell you a package but I am not familiar with a reasonable price for this.

I go to a skin doctor for facials like hydrafacial or microdermabrasion. No massages no frills but professional enough

Hi anon,

First you may want to avoid big names such as Asian Skincare Solution and New York Skin Solutions (pls pardon me if I got the names wrong but should be close =x) and neighborhood ones as their hardselling really puts me off.

I have tried with Sakura Pigmentation Beauty before. If I'm not wrong, their packages are quite reasonable. Maybe because I was a student back then lol so here's one tip. When they ask you for your job, just say that you're working in retail or something where the salary is known to be not so high. Or part time, still figuring life out haha. When they sell packages, always always always give them a frown and say wah so expensive. Nevermind la, I'll just take the basic package, I think my face not bad. Maybe I'll consider next session. They did not corner me until I could not run away but if you're in such a situation, you can always look at your watch and say you have another appointment, sorry. By then they should lower their price by a bit.

Now I am going for facial and laser at chrysalis spa. The more packages I sign, every renewal becomes cheaper. But this one good because they don't really hard sell me. Many times I've said no, they say let me consider and if I insist on the no, they'll be okay. But I have to say, their prices not that cheap but I've had good times so I'm not complaining. I'm paying ~$300/ session of facial with eye massage for my dry face (I know my eye bags and dark eye circles are horrendous) and laser to even out skintone and blemishes for my face and neck (used to top up for neck bt nw is "free").

I think a good estimate is around $100/ facial session, basic only. You want to add on for your eye, or mask, or Serum, then slowly add on the prices uh.. But you should know your face best so try not to succumb to their selling haha.

I am a female btw. Not sure if Shakura entertains male but chrysalis looks okay. Maybe you want to call in to ask?

Recently Fickle Beauty opened up their spa. I think their prices quite reasonable and the owner, Tammy Tay, claims no hardselling as she didn't like such stuffs and believes customers will naturally come back if they like the service there. Can give it a try. I will try once my latest package with chrysalis ends (I just signed a new package after CB because the offer was too good to decline =x)
