Hi all, i am hoping for some advise from Seedly community as i feel unfair being treated by UOB this way.
Background: i've received letters from UOB to inform me they are closing all my accounts with them after their so called regular review on their customer accounts and information.
Anyone else experience such ? I do not involved in any illegal activities or lend out my account to anyone. Just when i saw short term saving plans with higher interest i will make use of that to earn. But all the sudden they annoucing to end everything thru letter? (Paynow, my dad eldershield payout, UOI. .etc all linked in UOB)
I have submitted appeal and was told unsucessful n called in again to escalate again.
Appreciated all help n advises...

If they close uob, will dbs be affected too? Or different bank is different

The way banks and financial institutions handle things need to change. No legit persons should be decoupled from the financial ecosystem just based on a bank's commercial decision.
Imagine visiting a hospital and denied treatment based on its commercial decision. Banks are a big part of everyone's lives and they should not be allowed to choose customers unless those customers acted on bad faith. If they want to cherry pick, then they should not be granted a bank's license !

I did not receive any letter. They just closed my account without informing me. Went to the bank and called in. But all the staff said the same thing. 'We don't know'
