Anyone care to share some insights on hiring practices?

  1. Is sharing current salary and bonus received a must? Will hiring company validate the info during reference checks?
  2. How to calculate expected salary? based on currently monthly + eg 20% or based on total annual salary (including bonus) over 12 months + eg 20%?
  3. Say a company's policy of annual leave is 14 days and I am currently receiving 21 days. Can I negotiate to have 21 days or how to negotiate so that I will not lose out?
  4. Usually what to negotiate during salary negotiations?

Learn the strategies these chief executives have developed through trial and error to help you go beyond the polished résumés, pre-screened references and scripted answers, to hire more creative and effective members for your team. And if you’re on the other side of the job hunt, you can gain insight on what your interviewer is really looking for in a candidate. https://bit.ly/36BbNkm

2) look at the market rate of similar job position. Then mark up slightly higher for the HR to cut.

3) number of leave normally is company policy, cant change for you alone

4) HR want to cut your salary, u want to fight for your expected salary. Sometime HR will tell you, they will give u your expected salary only after the probation, make sure is written clearly in the offer letter, black & white. My ex-colleagues no black & white get "maken" becoz no proof.
