If you ask me spending anything above 1k on a device that'll become relatively obsolete in 2 years' time isn't worth it. Only you can decide if it's worth it for you.

I feel that the improvement is not too significant to allow people to upgrade their iPhones immediately. Maybe if your phone's condition is not very good then maybe you can consider buying one.
