If you are new, it might be harder to jump straight into equities. I kind of agree with 1M45 on healthcare ETF.
However, if you are really interested in investing into particularly healthcare related, may be can start from things that you could better understand.
For example if you are from software industry, you might want to start from pharmaceutical/life science software for example Veeva System
Or if you are more familiar with devices, may be Baxter
Or if you are more into lab/science, you may be interested in WuXi App Tech
Sad to say, for me, I'm not an expert in this, I learn some of this when I stay for a month in the hospital. And is quite a complicated field to understand.
And in the end of day, I find Healthcare REITs might be easier to appreciate like Parkway Life REITs.
So in short, find something that easy to pick up, and build up later on.
