I'm considering the Maybank FC Barcelona Visa Signature Card for cashback and the DBS Altitude Visa Card for miles. Not sure if my approach is correct.

Hi Andy,
If you're interested in collecting miles, there are way better cards to use than DBS Altitude. As long as you can pay via contactless payment, you can consider the UOB PPV and HSBC Revolution. They include a large variety of MCCs (but there are still exclusions) under bonus category spending that award 4mpd instead of 1.2mpd on DBS Altitude. On top of that, you can also consider the UOB PriviMiles. The reason is that both UOB PPV and HSBC Revolution have their bonus miles capped at $1k/month. For a wedding, chances are you'll exceed that spending, so you'll still need to fall back on a generic miles card, and the UOB PriviMiles has the highest rate of 1.4mpd. Furthermore, miles can be pooled across different UOB cards, so your miles from PPV and PriviMiles can be consolidated and transferred into your KF account together, incurring less transfer fees.
I believe The Mile Lion has a wedding expenses guide for earning miles, so you might want to check that out.
Hope this helps and congrats!!
