If you get Covid-19, whether due to work or not, your hospitalisation is covered by the government. Under most scenarios, swab tests are also covered by the government. One exception to this is travelling outside of Singapore - if you get Covid within 14 days of returning to Singapore, you will have to pay for your own hospital charges.
If you get Covid-19 due to work-related causes, and you cannot work (e.g. you get hit with an SHN notice but your job doesn't allow you to WFH, or you get hospitalised), your employer must pay for your lost wages while you're on medical leave. If your employer has work injury compensation insurance, your employer will file a claim and the insurer will pay out the amount of lost wages. This is mandatory as long as you are covered by the Employment Act. The only workers not covered by the Employment Act in Singapore are domestic helpers, sea farers, uniformed personnel, and civil servants.
Compensation for work-related diseases like Covid-19, and work-related injuries, is a legal right under the Work Injury Compensation Act. You can read this WICA guide to learn more about your employment rights if you get Covid or other diseases/injuries while working.
