AIG diamond hospital income insurance, scam or not?

Hi, can I check, does anyone know if AIG agents would call people who participated in their collbartion event to offer special discounted insurance plan? E.g. BHG x AIG Giveaway Mini Cooper in the July period, The agent called n explained the policy and request for name, DOB, NIRC, and then ask to pay a month premium first via their secured line using one's bank card number and expiry date. Then I can cancel the policy within 14 days with full refund. Is this a scam or a new trend in marketing insurance policy.
