Hi, I'm unsure if this question is suitable for this platform, but would like to have some advice, suggestions and feedback on what you would do if faced with this issue. Thank you in advance.
I'm on the fence between a couple of devices for my studies. My main purposes for using these devices are for note-taking during and after lectures, watching videos (Youtube, Lecture Videos, etc), 2nd screen for multi-tasking (using alongside my laptop most of the time)
I'm on the fence between the following devices:
Samsung Tab S7+
Samsung Tab S7 FE
Samsung Tab S8+
Samsung Tab S9 FE+
All of them have the same screen size (12.4") but differ in terms of the screen type, OS system (Security Patch Update), chipset, RAM & storage;
Tab S7+:
Super AMOLED, 120Hz, HDR10+
Qualcomm SM8250 Snapdragon 865 5G+
Ram - 6Gb / 8Gb
Storage - 128Gb / 256Gb & 512Gb
Android 11, up to Android 13, One UI 5.1
Tab S7 FE:
TFT LCD
Qualcomm SM7225 Snapdragon 750G 5G
Ram - 4Gb / 6Gb / 8GB
Storage - 64Gb / 128Gb / 256Gb
Android 11, up to Android 13, One UI 5.1
Tab S8+:
Super AMOLED, 120Hz, HDR10+
Qualcomm SM8450 Snapdragon 8 Gen 1
Ram - 8Gb / 12Gb / 16Gb
Storage - 128Gb & 256Gb / 256Gb / 512Gb
Android 12, up to Android 14, One UI 6
Tab S9 FE+:
IPS LCD, 90Hz
Exynos 1380
Ram - 8Gb / 12Gb
Storage - 128Gb / 256Gb
Android 13, up to Android 14, One UI 6
Should I get the cheaper Tab S7+ or Tab S7 FE even though the OS system and security patch update end this Summer of 2024
Or spend more and get the Tab S8+ or Tab S9 FE+ for the OS system and security patch update which will last till 2027?
Which model would you choose? Thank you in advance for your feedback n suggestions. 🙇🏻♂️🙇🏻♂️😊😊

Considering Samsung Tabs only? Personally, I place higher emphasis on the OS and security patch updates in case the gadget outlives these supports. If on budget, guess there are other Android tablets with comparable/better specs but at a fraction of Samsung's price. Not against this Korean brand.. in fact, have "married" it for many years. Planning a "divorce" now as my current mobile phone is not performing up to mark. Lol.

I had a very old version of Tab - I found it laggy after a while, so getting an old model may not be cost effective in the long run as it might not last.
