53 now. Have only hospital plan, what is the next insurance that I should look into? Am thinking life, term or CI, but unable to get all. Would like to know which is more important?

Quite ex to get at my age and my salary is not high. Life usually dont cover ECI as it will be quite ex to buy now. Is it better to get life or term at this age? Would like to know which should be the most impt after having hospital plan covered.
