What are SG60 Vouchers?

As part of Singapore’s 60th year of independence, the government is distributing SG60 Vouchers to help citizens cope with daily living expenses while celebrating the country’s achievements.

The SG60 Vouchers form a key component of the broader SG60 Budget Initiatives, reflecting a commitment to supporting households and fostering community well-being.

Designed to be inclusive and widely accessible, they are intended to provide tangible financial relief and stimulate local spending in both small businesses and larger retailers.

Who is eligible and how much will you receive?

All Singapore Citizens are eligible to receive the SG60 Vouchers. The amount distributed varies by age group to better support different needs.

Distribution of the SG60 Vouchers will begin in July 2025. A phased rollout will be implemented to ensure an efficient and smooth process. Seniors can start claiming their vouchers from 1 July, followed by adult recipients from 22 July.

Priority will be given to seniors aged 60 and above, followed by the remaining eligible citizens. This approach helps accommodate older Singaporeans who may need additional time or assistance with redemption.

Voucher validity

The SG60 Vouchers will be valid until 31 December 2026, giving recipients ample time to plan their usage. The extended validity encourages thoughtful and responsible spending, allowing individuals to use their vouchers when most needed without being rushed.

Citizens are reminded to take note of the expiry date and to make full use of their entitlement before it lapses.

Where can you use the vouchers?

SG60 Vouchers can be used at all merchants participating in the Community Development Council (CDC) Voucher Scheme. This includes a broad range of heartland shops, hawkers, and participating supermarkets.

The vouchers are divided into two equal components: one half is meant for use at heartland businesses, while the other half is valid at major supermarkets.

This dual approach supports both small, independent local merchants and larger commercial outlets. It ensures widespread community benefit while providing voucher holders with versatile options for their day-to-day spending.

Tips to spend your vouchers wisely

Although SG60 Vouchers are a government-provided benefit, using them wisely can significantly enhance their value and impact. Here are a few tips to help you make the most of your vouchers:

1. Compare before you buy

While the vouchers may feel like a bonus, overspending can still lead to wasteful habits. Taking the time to evaluate options helps ensure that you are getting the best value for each dollar.

For example, before buying a rice cooker, check prices across online retailers, department stores, and neighbourhood appliance shops. You might find the same model at a lower price, or one with better features for the same cost.

2. Prioritise essentials

Using the vouchers for groceries, household items, or necessary services provides greater utility than impulse buys. This approach supports financial discipline while meeting actual needs.

Instead of impulse-buying a gadget or trendy accessory, consider using the vouchers for groceries, baby supplies, school materials, or household cleaning products you use regularly.

3. Watch out for price mark-ups

Some merchants might raise prices for voucher users. Stay vigilant by checking standard prices and reporting any suspicious practices. Being a smart consumer protects not only your finances but also the integrity of the initiative.

If a store is charging S$12 for an item that’s typically S$8 elsewhere, especially around voucher disbursement time, take note. Compare prices in other stores or online, and report suspicious practices to the relevant authorities.

How to claim your SG60 Vouchers

Singapore Citizens can redeem their vouchers via RedeemSG using their Singpass. This streamlined method is familiar to most users and ensures easy digital access.

For those who are not digitally savvy, assistance will be available at nearby Community Centres/Clubs. These locations will provide step-by-step help, ensuring that all citizens, regardless of digital literacy, can successfully claim and use their vouchers.

Other SG60 initiatives

While SG60 Vouchers are central to the celebrations, several other initiatives have been launched under the SG60 programme to foster community spirit, encourage healthy living, and support culture and heritage.

SG60: Icons of Home

The SG60: Icons of Home collectable pin series celebrates shared heritage through six unique designs. Released monthly from July to December 2025 at selected SG60 events, each pin is created by local artists to reflect Singapore’s culture, history, and diverse communities.

The pins are free, but available in limited quantities, while stocks last.

What makes this series extra special is that all six pins, when collected, fit together to form the shape of Singapore. These meaningful keepsakes are a reminder that every piece of our nation’s story counts.

SG60: Budget Initiatives

Complementing the SG60 Vouchers are several financial support measures.

SG Gives Matching Grants

The SG60 Matching Grant will boost donations made through the Community Chest, President’s Challenge, and the Collective for a Stronger Society, starting 1 January 2025.

This initiative encourages both one-time and long-term giving by matching donations with government support, strengthening national social and community programmes. Up to S$250 million will be made available in matching funds.

Donors can contribute through Community Chest’s SGSHARE programme, President’s Challenge initiatives, or the Stronger Society Fund. Additional support is also available via the Tote Board’s Enhanced Fund-Raising (EFR) Programme, which supports registered charities, and the Cultural Matching Fund (CMF), now extended to FY2029 with a S$100 million top-up.

These programmes work together to promote a culture of giving across different sectors, including the arts, heritage, and social services.

SG60: ActiveSG Credit Top-Up

The SG60 ActiveSG Credit Top-Up encourages sports participation across all segments of society. From 2 June to 31 December 2025, all Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents who log in to MyActiveSG+ will receive S$100 in ActiveSG credits.

• Existing members simply need to log in during this period to receive the top-up.
• New members who sign up and log in with Singpass will receive a total of s$200 credits, which includes both the SG60 top-up and the existing new member incentive.

The credits can be used to pay for ActiveSG facilities and programmes. All ActiveSG credits will receive a one-time extension until 31 December 2026.

Unused credits can also be rolled over into 2027, provided at least one transaction, such as a programme booking or facility use, is made in 2026 through MyActiveSG+.

SG60: Culture Pass

The SG Culture Pass will provide all Singaporeans aged 18 and above in 2025 with S$100 worth of credits to enjoy and explore the local arts and heritage scene. These credits can be used to offset ticket costs for a wide range of programmes, including performances, exhibitions, cultural tours, and workshops.

Valid from 1 September 2025 to 31 December 2028, the credits can be redeemed through authorised ticketing providers. No action is needed before 1 September 2025 to claim your credits.

Citizens are advised to remain vigilant against scams, you will not be asked to click on links, provide personal or banking details, or respond to any messages regarding the SG Culture Pass before that date. Any such attempts are fraudulent.

SG60: Baby Gift

Every Singapore Citizen child born in 2025 will receive a commemorative SG60 Baby Gift. The set includes both practical and symbolic items to celebrate birth and support early development. Parents must complete birth registration before registering for the gift.

SG60: Deals and Discounts

SG60-themed promotions and discounts will be available across various attractions and businesses to encourage citizens to rediscover Singapore. Local kopitiams are also participating, offering special food and beverage deals as part of the nationwide celebration.
