Yes if you enjoy stability and don’t mind slow price movement & have the captivity to hold in the long run. On the other hand, many are betting on US stock because of its high volatility and are hoping for some quick gains.

I DIY invest for many years before simply because robos weren't around then. Now I'm switching to robo because (1) the fees are low, Syfe fees actually include brokerage charges. (2) it can manage risk automatically by switching between equities - bonds - gold when volatility, inflation, economic growth changes. As a DIY investor, it would simply be too much for one to do the equivalent. (5 of professional fund managers can't beat the index so why should I try to be my own fund manager - that' my reasonaing. Syfe has both SREITS as well as ETFs for all kinds of equities. Here's the promo code for $100 on Syfe: SRPSK2AGD. You can't go wrong with whichever Syfe portfolio you choose. The most important is to start investing and to put in money regularly. The worst is to over analyse and be paralysed into doing nothing , leaving money sitting in the bank being eaten away by inflation. Just start and as you go along you will learn more, understand your own risk appetite, investment objectives etc. Cheers

You can choose to apportion your available funds into all 3 because the outcomes will be different. We all like high risk and high returns, until the crash comes just when we need the funds and then we wish we had managed the risk better. So after you have set aside enough emergency funds, built up enough CPF to fund your retirement, identified your invesment objectives, then these goals and vaules will naturally tell you how you should invest. Here's the Syfe promo code for $100 added to your account SRPSK2AGD. Set up your account with them and chat with their friendly and knowledgeable consultants. I'm having a good experience so far. Cheers

Anyone care to share their Syfe portfolio and the reasons behind them? And how long do you plan to keep your money there? I should be able to put in $400/month?

Hi Anon! Pls do your own due diligence before starting any investment! I am 28 this year and have a $250/mth perpetual endowment plan for 20years (means I pay for 20 years and money continues to grow till I decide to take it out.. Or I can pass it on to my future child if any to keep it till I am age 120 if I'm not wrong). I would consider this as my safety net. Since I have a long term horizon of about 25 years (I intend to retire by age 55), I believe my investments should be able to ride out market crashes. I believe in tech that it will continue to grow and do want some investments in s&p500 but I really don't want to have to manage my portfolio so I was glad syfe started the equity100 portfolio! Hence I started $1k in syfe equity100 portfolio with $500/mth intended contribution. Then I read more about their reits portfolio, investments in sgd and how dividends would be automatically reinvested and did not want to lose out lol. So I started $1k in syfe reits 100%, and directed $100/mth into this portfolio so my equity100 would receive $400/mth instead. In short, I have - $250/mth endowment plan - $400/mth equity100 - $100/mth reits 100% I am not sure if my simple thought process helps you to decide your allocation but I wish you all the best :)

As shared by Dasin Retail Trust during the live session, Dasin Retail Trust (“DRT”) intends to be a long-term investor in China, as such, it has taken a view not to hedge the RMB equity exposure arising from its investments in PRC unless certain risks are specifically identified. DRT’s strategy is to achieve a natural hedge through local RMB financing and any non-RMB denominated loan will be hedged into RMB if required, to protect the going concern of DRT in the event of large currency fluctuations.

As shared by Dasin Retail Trust during the live session, As of today, Dasin Retail Trust ("DRT") has a strong pipeline of another 15 ROFR properties located in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area (the “GBA”) from its Sponsor, of which 9 are completed and 6 are under development. With the ongoing development of the GBA, the management believes that DRT will be able to benefit from the economic growth as its properties are strategically located in the heart of the GBA and is well positioned to capitalise on the growth of the region. The development of the GBA could lead to an increase in rental rates and property valuation for DRT in the long term. DRT will undertake a prudent investment approach to inject assets which enhances its portfolio and manage its cost of borrowing to ensure that a competitive distribution yield for its unitholders.
