Any other fresh grads out there? What's your biggest adulting fear? I graduated this year and found a traineeship... But I still feel like I'm failing in every aspect.. My work, home, personal self..?
At least you got a job, got some income. If you want to compare upwards, there's no end. Strive for improvement that's good enough.

"Call me a strawberry millennial, but being passionate doesn’t mean I’m willing to be exploited" - Feel like a lot of older workers view us fresh grads as being unwilling to work hard. Any thoughts?
Can't blame them, thye live in an era where hard work are largely compensated with better returns and follow a pretty simple script for a fulfilling life. Now, the younger generations (being exposed to globalisation) are looking forward to a lot more than the normal narrative of graduate-career-marry-house-kids. It's due to this that people are getting more and more demotivated to work as hard as they (foolishly) thought it as a hindrance to them achieving the life they actually wanted.

Shopping

Are you shopping more or less during COVID-19? I think for some people coz they stay at home so they spend less, but I end up shopping more? I can't be the only one here right?
Similar for me, I guess. Old needs (i.e. don't need to go out to eat all the time) and new needs (i.e. more groceries for cooking).

Stocks Discussion

COVID-19

Is it a good thing to buy stock during pandemic ? Since the stock price is low, won’t it be better to purchase at low price to get a hand on it and wait to appreciate and sell off?
In general, if you are talking about buying in a global sell-off due to a black-swan event, yes. The reason for such sell-offs are usually because of two reasons: 1) funds being overleveraged and forced to sell to meet margin calls and, 2) general fear causing clients to pull funds and funds selling stock to raise cash. But i assure you, when presented with such a situation, unless you know what you are buying like the back of your hand, your own psychology will prevent you from doing what you described. However, just because a stock price is low doesn't mean it's cheap. There are reasons why it trades as such. And the unfortunate reality facing investors is value is largely dead, and it's all about growth stocks now in a MMT world.

Currently doing a traineeship unrelated to finance. Should I study for CFA to improve my chances of getting a job as an financial analyst?
Not a HR professional. CFA would definitely help in showing diligence and knowledge in the field. However, the programmes are intensive and would require hundreds of hours studying (if your current work allows).

What are good stocks to buy now given the current market? Any recommendations?
As always, it is best to do your own due diligence before into any investments. For stock ideas (and depending on the market you're looking into), you can look at financial websites/blog (e.g. The Edge, Morningstar, MarketWatch) to see some of the more commonly discussed stocks and the latest happenings.

My company requires us to go back to office every alternative weeks in Teams A and B now. Can they force us to go back if we prefer to WFH, eventhough it's my turn to return to office this week?
From MOM website - Work-from-home remains the default mode of working . However, from 28 September, employees who are able to work from home may return to the workplace to better support work and business operations. - In addition , employers must ensure that no more than half of employees who are able to work from home are at the workplace at any point in time . - ... Your employer is not violating any rules here. If you prefer to WFH, you should discuss the preference with them.
