What are some of the under-appreciated jobs you see around you in your daily life?

Last week there was this CNA Insider documentary which shared about the story of foreign workers, construction workers and cleaners who wrote little letters about their lives and how they were 'Invisible'. Do share with us some of your own experiences you have come across in your daily lives.

The uncle that clears the leaves in my condo every morning! I always make sure to say good morning on the way to work, brightens up my day :)

For me it's the security guard whom I meet everyday... He always looks so fierce, but I think it could be a vicious cycle:

  1. He feels under appreciated (invisible)
  2. He has to scold people (even residents) and make his voice heard
  3. People treat him badly
  4. He feels even more under appreciated

Just a random thought. Next time I see him, I'm planning to buy him a Putu Piring. To brighten his day. Let's see how that goes :) will update on this story when it happens.
