Base on hdb Web page. EHG will be affected if one party is not working.

Do both party need to be employed at the hdb completion appointment? Or after step5 (submitting document for housing grant).

Theoritically, HDB will ask for your income documents at the point of submission.

If incomplete, they will ask you to furnish it before they accept your case.

Grant is computed based on last 12 month income.

So do furnish the last 12 months payslip prior to submission.

After acceptance, usually they will not ask anymore.

But usually i would advise clients to quit after key collection.

Hi there,

You need to be employed through the process, until you receive your flat, and the HDB loan is disbursed to you. Your application is contingent on you both being working adults, and still working to be able to support the mortgage payments after your CPF is wiped out for the loan.

If one of you is no longer working, theoratically, unless your income is high enough to encompass the mortgage payments for both of you, you will be out of pocket the moment you receive the home.

Hope I was able to shed some insight!
