Sorry i am an investment noob here! Also read somewhere that if someone invest a fixed amount every month into the S&P500 for the next 30 years, chances are i will outperform any hedge funds out there. Help i don't wanna lose money hahaha

Firstly, we need to understand how dollar cost averaging work in detail. In essence, it is not a foolproof investment strategy that optimises return all the time. Read this post to find out why: https://www.blog.pzl.sg/dollar-cost-averaging-s...

If you are a low risk investor, then you may wish to evaluate your risk tolerance again. This is because investing in ETF does not produce guaranteed returns. As a result, your profit or loss will depend on your investment strategy and risk management technique along the way.

If you are knowledgeable, skillful, and experienced enough to manage your own portfolio, then continue monitoring it while seeking a second opinon whenever possible.

If you are doubtful on what is going on, I will suggest for you to speak to a professional to find out the best way to grow guaranteed returns for you over time.
