How to answer or dodge when people ask about my salary?

I am about to graduate soon and recently accepted a job offer. However, every time when I tell my friends/classmates about my job offer, the first thing they would ask is how much am I getting paid. Would you guys tell them your salary or avoid the question?

Be firm and polite to reject them. Salary is confidential and personal. You can say you are not comfortable in sharing and change to another topic.
Remember you are new to the dept and your colleagues cannot help you fight for higher pay. Only your boss can.
