Hey Anonymous, since you don't travel often, all the more it could be worthy to have a one-off trip using the miles you accumulate! Such as to far-flung places like Europe to the US. Say for special occasions such as your honeymoon, wedding anniversary, birthday, etc.

To top it off, the experience (of flying for free maybe even on business class) is something that you could never forget. Such experential trips are hard to come by, and even harder if you were to pay for these flights with cash - definitely cost a comb that would not be sufficiently covered by the potential cashback you could have earned.

Its okay. Even if you travel once a year. With a business class to europe, u need 250k miles about there. Or else if your spending is not high can opt to change to cashback instead. That's for me.

Your once a year or every 2 year's trip Can be funded by airmiles still. It might be ebtter because you are accumulating airmiles for one trip to the extent you can redeeom miles to enjoy your trip by flying in comfort via business.

I travel once a year only and i plan to use such tricks

Yes, it can still be very applicable. If you don't travel a lot then I feel it can be used for that special trip such as a honeymoon or a anniversary trip, in business or first.

If you earn with a miles card that doesn't have any expiry on the points/miles, then you can take your time to slowly accumulate. Even with minimum spending, once you have enough for a one way ticket, you can experience the SQ business experience outbound from Singapore. Furthermore, paying the annual fee on a miles card tends to earn you some miles, while on a cashback card...you'll be fighting to get it waived. You'll get there faster than you think!

Mile hacking can still bring a lot of value even if you are an infrequent flyer. Redeeming your mile...
