Hi there,

If you are currently not employed, and do not have the means to fund this policies. You might be better off just staying on the SAF's group insurance policy, and build your financial foundations first.

I am still holding on to my group insurance policy, and its one of the most cost effective solutions.

Hi Anon, I gotta know how you're planning on financing this policy during your enlistment.

You can consider a 10yr renewable and convertible term policy first before getting a 45 year term policy. That'll reduce your financial commitment and allows you to change the plan to a longer policy later after ORD/studies once you've secured a full time position with stable income.

In terms of total coverage, this is something I expect someone making 50k/yr in income to purchase, let alone someone on NS pay. So yeah affordability, gotta figure that out.
