Does the Allianz Travel Insurance cover my trip cancellation? Especially during this COVID-19 period?

I recently booked a trip to Australia and I am due to travel next month. However, with the situation now, I cannot travel anywhere and was hoping to get some coverage at least.

Sadly, Allianz travel insurance does not cover trip cancellations. However, they will provide coverage such as overseas medical benefits or emergency medical assistance in relation to the virus depending on the level of insurance coverage you bought. (this applies for policies bought after 22 Jan 2020)

Just like most insurance plans, they do not cover the travel tickets but medical fees may be partially handled.
