Ideally if you ask the girl before the date what she feels about you paying or splitting the bill. And then you can act just accordingly to what is proper for you in case you are really fine with both scenarios.

I think most girls these days are alright with splitting the bill, but would appreciate it if guy pays for the first meal in the date as a nice gesture. As a girl, usually i would offer to pay for the dessert/drinks after the meal to thank him.

But i would suggest that if you are keen to see the girl again, pay for the first date and suggest that she can pay for the next date :)

Once I see something more proper in seeing this girl then I offer to bear the bills. Till then it's Dutch. I hate having the feeling of having money wasted on some girl you try so hard to impress'. End up don't get to see the girl again or the classic ( Let's just be friends). But if really no choice then ( pick places from apps like Eatigo , Chope and Burpple)

There are many girls out there who don't equate to paying for bills to being a gentleman.

Offer for the first couple of dates, then you see if the girl offers to go dutch subsequently, if she doesnt even offer or pay for the next date, then its your choice you wanna support her financially in future or not. Its 21st century, the girls that dont work in the past belongs to 19th 20th century.

But if her momma raised ...
