DBS/POSB accounts can no longer be synced using Seedly. When will it be reinstated as a lot of people have POSB/DBS accounts? thanks

Hi there! I'm Kenneth one of the co-founders here at Seedly.

We actually wrote a detailed piece about this here: https://blog.seedly.sg/seedly-security/

Essentially, We have met with representatives of DBS last week to discuss this issue, and both organisations are fully aligned that online security is of utmost importance to all of our users.

Please do read the blog piece and let me know if you have any questions. Cheers!

As a whole, we're abit saddened that we are taking one step back from a open banking world, where users get to choose how they want to manage their money. But we'll be doing our best to see what works best in the near future.

Hi Eileen, This is not for OCBC at present. It's still functioning to our knowledge. If you are facing issues, could you send it in to our support team at [email protected]? Thanks!

Hey Kenneth, that's really sad to hear. I really do love this app. I read the link you provided, it seems like it's unlikely that things will change anytime soon right? Or is there still a glimmer of hope within the next few weeks?

Security issues aside, DBS users will be forced to use DBS app and platform and DBS can push ad notifications to them...something which it cannot do if its users are using a third party app like Seedly

Does this mean in future seedly app cannot sync dbs transaction? Quite use to seedly app to have a overview of all bank accounts.

Seedly lost the biggest of the Big 3 banks in Singapore. If more banks choose to break off ties, I fear the Seedly app may start losing users as well, no matter how well- produced its content are for users.

Looks like this is not only happening to OCBC.
