Hi there! I'm Kenneth one of the co-founders here at Seedly.
We actually wrote a detailed piece about this here: https://blog.seedly.sg/seedly-security/
Essentially, We have met with representatives of DBS last week to discuss this issue, and both organisations are fully aligned that online security is of utmost importance to all of our users.
Please do read the blog piece and let me know if you have any questions. Cheers!
As a whole, we're abit saddened that we are taking one step back from a open banking world, where users get to choose how they want to manage their money. But we'll be doing our best to see what works best in the near future.
Security issues aside, DBS users will be forced to use DBS app and platform and DBS can push ad notifications to them...something which it cannot do if its users are using a third party app like Seedly
Looks like this is not only happening to OCBC.
